Your insurance company denied your claim.  You tried explaining to your insurer why the claim needs to be paid, but they just ignore you or refuse to listen.  In South Dakota, you have the option to file a complaint with the Division of Insurance at https://dlr.sd.gov/insurance/doi_complaint.aspx.

Insurance companies are accustomed to dealing with the Division of Insurance and its bureaucratic process.  And while you do not need a lawyer to file a complaint with the Division of Insurance, you can be sure that the insurance company has a team of lawyers on standby.  And you should know that the information you provide as part of the process could be used against you, so be careful with what you say and write.

If you are considering filing a complaint with the Division of Insurance, or if you have questions about your claim, you can contact us.  Our dedicated lawyers will talk with you, free of charge, to see if they can assist with your claim.
