Frequently Asked Questions
What types of cases does your law firm handle?
Our law firm handles a wide variety of civil litigation. We are primarily focused on all types of personal injury cases, ranging from those involving catastrophic injuries to brain injuries. As part of that, we have extensive experience with car accidents, motorcycle/ATV/UTV accidents, semi-truck accidents, and dog bites, among others.
Our attorneys also regularly handle cases involving insurance, insurance bad faith, business and ownership disputes, and trust and estate litigation.
When should I talk to a lawyer?
It is best to talk to a lawyer as soon as possible. Oftentimes, steps should be taken immediately after you have a potential case to investigate, preserve evidence, and identify and speak with witnesses. Our dedicated attorneys have extensive experience in investigating cases and ensuring that South Dakota’s evidence preservation laws are followed.
Why should I hire a lawyer?
The legal field is challenging. The laws are often complex. When you have been wronged or need legal help, you need an experienced advocate to handle your case. When you have excellent representation, your rights are protected.
How many years of experience does your firm have?
The attorneys in our firm have approximately 100 years of combined experience and have earned local, regional, and national recognition.
What are your business hours?
Our firm is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We are also happy to schedule appointments outside of regular work hours.
Do you charge for an initial consultation?
No. We do not, and will not, charge a fee to meet with people that have legal needs. Our dedicated lawyers are happy to meet with anyone to discuss their legal issues face-to-face and to help when we can. And if we cannot help, we will try to assist you in finding someone that can.
How to get started?
We are happy to meet with you to discuss your legal issues. As part of that, we will be glad to schedule a time to meet face-to-face, listen to your story, ask questions, answer your questions, and explain your legal rights. And we never charge a fee for doing so. To get started, simply click the “Contact Us” or “Schedule a Free Consultation ” links to schedule a meeting with one of our attorneys.
