Laura Stewart
Laura obtained her Paralegal degree from Nettleton College in Sioux Falls in 1995 and started her legal career as a legal assistant with the Brende & Schroeder Law Firm. Over the years she worked as a paralegal at the Johnson, Heidepriem, Miner, Marlow & Janklow Law Firm, the Tobin Law Office, and the Janklow Law Firm. Laura has worked in a wide range of legal areas from personal injury to family law to products liability to criminal law. Laura joined the firm part-time in Spring 2007. She then went full time October 2010. Laura’s excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are a great asset to the firm.
Sara Heller
Sara began her legal career in 2007 in Pierre, South Dakota, answering phones. She worked her way up to a file clerk and then to a legal assistant -- working in a diverse range of practice areas (from estate planning and corporate matters to energy and telecommunications regulatory law). In 2010 she and her family moved to the Sioux Falls area, and Sara joined the Fuller & Sabers law firm (now Fuller, Williamson, Nelsen & Preheim) as a legal secretary. At Fuller, Williamson, Nelsen & Preheim, Sara has expanded her range of experience to include all matters of civil litigation, primarily including personal injury, property damage, and bad faith matters. In 2019, Sara became a Certified Paralegal after obtaining her degree through night classes. Her dedication, organization, and writing skills are essential to the firm.
Tami Hurley
Tami Hurley first entered the legal profession as a word processor at Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith in 1986. Over the years, she worked as a legal secretary for Hoy & Hoy Law Firm and Thompson Law, P.C., eventually becoming an Administrative Assistant at Thompson Law. She was employed briefly at a non-law related job, but missed the challenges presented by working as a legal professional, and she joined the firm in August 2007.
Aubrey Hermanson
Aubrey graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and psychology. She then began her legal career in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as a federal contractor to the U.S. Marshal's Service working primarily as a data analyst. Afterwards, she worked for a law firm with a focus on family law and criminal law. Aubrey joined the firm in 2019 and serves as an office assistant.
