Meet Our Team
Tierney is a native of Yankton, South Dakota. Tierney attended college at the University of Sioux Falls, where she studied criminal justice, sociology, and psychology, and graduated magna cum laude. Immediately following the completion of her undergraduate degree, Tierney attended law school at the University of South Dakota Knutson School of Law on a full tuition scholarship. While in law school, Tierney served as a law school ambassador and Vice President of the Moot Court Board. Most notably, Tierney’s moot court team won the Best Brief award out of thirty-six teams across the nation at the Brooklyn Law School moot court tournament in 2020.
Following law school, Tierney was selected as a law clerk for the Second Judicial Circuit in Sioux Falls, the largest judicial circuit in South Dakota. Tierney enjoyed the fast-paced environment during her clerkship where she regularly observed hearings and trials and assisted all twelve judges in researching complex legal issues and drafting decisions.
Tierney proudly joined the firm following the completion of her clerkship. Her practice areas include civil litigation and personal injury.
Outside of work, Tierney enjoys reading, hiking, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her dogs.
